The Importance of Sampling: Estimating the Fraction of the Population Who Have Experienced Prior COVID-19 Infection

Antibody tests are being used to estimate the fraction of the population who have experienced prior COVID-19 infection. However, without sound sampling techniques, the conclusions we can draw from such studies are limited. In this Grand Rounds, faculty from the Sampling Knowledge Hub and Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics discussed recent studies of antibody seroprevalence, why sampling matters and best practices moving forward.
